Textpattern

· Comments (5)
Unable to resist another weblogging/writing tool, I just installed the brandnew beta of Textpattern. I got it installed, it seems to be working, but my text isn't published anywhere and what the hell does it do and where is it going and... it looks pretty. update: I got it working... have a look at its beta output. Oh... the .htaccess file needed to make Textpattern work is screwing with prolific.org. So bugger that. Nothing to see. Move it along. (... Fixed that by renaming index file. Hmm.)

Have you tried Nucleus yet? Or p2? pMachine?

I tried pMachine, installed and worked like a dream.

I'm moving over to Nucleus - easy install, a bit rough to customize - but find the technology behind blogging less interesting since I discovered w.Bloggar, client software that makes posting a lot easier.

As long as it works with w.Bloggar, any CMS-system could do.

I've used w.Blogger in the past, until it stopped working for me after a while. Couldn't get it to work anywhere anymore, at work or at home.

Curious, what did you have to put in the .htaccess to make Textpattern work? Something to do with changing what PHP thinks the DOCUMENT_ROOT is, I assume? Trying to find a way to make it work and it's not happening so far. Bah!
