  1. Ooh! I know! How about wade through hundreds of U2 concert tapes and take down notes on all of them? Sounds like my idea of relaxation… ;-D

  2. I’m sure there’s some deep sociological point to be made about this increasing phenomenon of people just taking leave from work in order to take leave from work and NOT WORK, if you know what I mean. Exhaustion? Can’t afford a holiday? A simple desire just to not be behind one’s desk? All these reasons apply to why I’m thinking of taking a week off to do, ostensibly, *nothing* in the near future.

As I said, some deep sociological point to be made. I’m just not sure what it is, that’s all.

  3. Mmm… I dunno… my holidays always seem to be associated with travelling to see a bunch of concerts and spending a load of money I never really had in the first place. Then I go back to work to save up for another 3 months or so… and then the whole thing starts all over again. I actually kinda like it that way. Just being able to switch off the phone creates an instant holiday feeling with me so that’s fairly easy… Don’t even have to actually switch it off.. It’s purely theoretical.

Maybe it’s time for a holiday, then again, I’d rather save up for that string of concerts coming up in October ;)
    Have a fun holiday C.

  4. I have a feeling ‘not working’ means ‘redesigning several sites’.

  5. (Because I don’t have money and there aren’t any concerts and I’m not gonna sit on a beach on me own - or with others, come to think of it.)

Also, there’s stuff to be done. Three trips to the hospital next week. A trip to Ikea. A trip to an accountant to get my taxes done. You know, all sorts of fun.

  6. No concerts? Hmm…

There’s John Cale in Haarlem and Leiden… The Black Heart Procession in the Paradiso, Woven Hand/Blush @ het Concertgebouw with some dance project (JuliDans), but that’d be expensive and Interpol in Rotterdam…
