First Book project

Plans to make my first book available in pdf were temporarily thwarted when it seemed my old PageMaker 3 files couldn't be opened in newer apps. Fortunately there was a old Adobe tool that converted the files to 4.0 which PageMaker 7.0 could handle.
I'm no PageMaker wiz, so I'm sure I'm going about it arseways but I managed to combine all the separate files. 'All' I have to do now is add the photos. Ofcourse, while working on this, the thought occurred that I might UPDATE the book, since it ends in 1990. I could then make the first edition available for free, and sell a new version online. (update: switched from PageMaker to InDesign It has a more intuitive interface.)

I think I have time, yes. I'm also working on a u2log.com and a gf.com redesign.

InDesign is fantastic, you have much more control over type and there are a bunch of user written plug-ins and scripts that are around as well.
