Sick of paying through the nose for prints. The new EOS 300D Canon EOS 300D is "Unbelievably good value for money, groundbreaking" and "highly recommended". Maybe next year.

You're not the only one waiting. And it'll be less than € 1.000 next year as well.

I bet that will be FABULOUS... my 'non-digital' camera is a Canon Rebel and i have loved it. But you're wiser to invest in an excellent printer and go fully digital. We just got the hewlett packard cp 1700 (business class color printer with wide format printing). More than most home users need, but it prints amazing photos... now if I only I could take amazing photos. Thank goodness for you and HG

if you go for an epson instead, you could get a continuous inking system for it, save you time and cash with the inks.

I've never been keen on having a printer, since I don't print stuff very often. I have the cheapest Epson I could find, it was Euro 75 and I am paying through the nose for cartridges eventhough I only print one or two sheets every now and then. Annoys the hell out of me.

My printer was $500! But we have to print a lot for business. It has four separate ink cartridges, so if you run out of one color, then you only need to buy one color, so it saves on ink in the end (rather than running out of one color in a 4-in-1 ink cartridge, and having to replace the whole thing even though the other three wells are full). But if you think you're not going to want to print, it is definitely not worth it. There are some printers coming out, much less expensive than mine, with the four cartridge option. Every year they are less and less expensive. Enough 'techie' talk!
