Pop goes the weasel

A propos of two posts at MeFi (and I swear I've seen the subject discussed there and elsewhere before) and AskMeFi, what is your favourite soft drink?

Though I prefer tea, water and juices, mine's a (Vanilla) Coca Cola with lots of ice. Also like or liked Dr Pepper (Mr Pib when I was little) and Exota red 'gazeuse' (no longer available) which came in Grolsch type bottles. These days that particular branch of hypercolour & carbonated water market's nicely filled by Fernandez.

When I was twelve for the longest time all I wanted was ginger ale.

Update: ha! Vindicated, it WAS discussed before.

Regular old Coca-Cola, best in a refrigerated can. Also like Vanilla Coke, Dr. Pepper, and all root beers; I'll tolerate Sprite (though I like the "remixes") and Pepsi. Hate all diet sodas with a passion. And I used to love Pepsi Blue, but then they discontinued it, because I was the only person in America who drank it.

I like Sprite every once in a while (better than 7Up which I've always hated). What are the 'remixes'?

Years pass by without me having drunk any softdrinks. Most are far too sweet, and those that aren't I don't particularly like.

If I want something cold and refreshing, I drink beer. If it isn't that time of the day yet, it is water with ice cubes, or milk or orange juice.

In the US, starting last summer, we get a new flavor of Sprite every year. Last year, it was Tropical Sprite Remix, which tasted exactly like what we assumed Skittlebrau from The Simpsons tasted like (Beer and Skittles); this year it's Berryclear Sprite Remix, which, well, tastes a lot like Tropical Sprite Remix only with slightly more berry sharpness. They're better than regular Sprite, IMHO, and they have pretty-colored bottles...

Should've thought to include that with the original post. Mind the obnoxious hip-hop ad jingle as you enter. (The "remixes" were promoted with music done by The Neptunes the first time out.)
