Jamie Cullum looks to be a pretty good live act. Branford Marsalis Quartet should be top notch, depending what they are performing. Heard good things about Zap Mama too.
Is it me or are there way too many 'young uns' at this festival? I would really like to see some old fashioned Blue Note type jazz (and take pictures accordingly).
Being more into bebop than other styles of jazz I would go see Ahmad Jamal. Great pianist, lot's of 'old jazz atmosphere'. Being able to say you've seen one of Jazz' greatest live on stage doesn't hurt either ;-)
An ex-colleague did a copy of one of his albums for me about five years ago. I still have it somewhere, but it'll be at the bottom of a cardboard box. I don't remember much about it, other than thinking "interesting, I'll come back to this one day".
I think he also gave me some Keith Jarrett stuff at the same time, which I liked a little more.
I have the album he recorded with Charlie Hayden "Beyond the Missouri Sky" which is really quite nice and an early one, "Bright Size Life". There have been more recent live tracks here and there that I"ve heard, which are equally as good, if not better.

Have fun!
Pat Metheny would be on my list for sure and I've heard The Bad Plus are quite good.

I agree with Herb, what little I've heard by Pat Metheny has been interesting.
All I've heard is 'This is not America'. That was Bowie + Pat Metheny, wasn't it?
Too bad Jimmy Scott isn't there - I'd love to see him again.
