Mother and Child reunion
(probably taken with a Voigtlander Vitomatic)
Today's challenge at Photo Friday is 'mother' (which seems a little tired after 'father' a few weeks ago, but anyway). I only have one picture I took of my mother and grandparents when I was 11 or so, and I can't find it. I've no other shot that fits, so I'm not competing in the challenge. But I'll honour the theme with this shot that my father must have taken. Mum with red bag, me with white hat and toy camera. With apologies for the quality, I really need a better scanner. Gorgeous photo, quality issues or not. I see you inherited that photographic eye you have!
Judging by the sombreos the two men are wearing, I'm assuming you were in Mexico?
I think it was Spain.
My dad has a really good eye. I have a stack of pictures (slides actually - like he was into photography at the time?) from this trip that are all gorgeous. He did not take pictures between the 70's and 90's and has only recently acquired a little digital camera. He seems too old (Or it's a laziness that has set in since he's aging?) now to grasp all the settings and the quality of the camera is not the greatest, but his compositions remain very good.
