Vintage me
A thought that’s been going through my head a lot recently (which I should cherish and investigate — shallow as my everyday existence tends to be) is that everybody has their ‘prime’ time. Some hit it in their twenties, others in their thirties or later. I think I made a pretty good kid and kept it together in my teens and tweens. I don’t think I’m very succesful so far at being an adult.

How did you scan them? And are you happy with the results? [He asked, having >3,000 slides in various boxes in a dark casket]
you’re so lucky to have these. And you were so adorable (and still are, of course!).
They’re actually rolls of print proofs – I have the actual prints of some of these pictures, but most are just the proofs (and no negatives). Considering I’m scanning a negative sized print with my crappy scanner, I think they’re alright.
Thank you, I was wondering why the perforated part of the film looked black.
By the way, don’t be so hard on yourself!
I’m too soft on myself most of the time, I think. Most of what I do is ‘escape’ and I leave important bits hanging.
