Just in case
Never done this before: booked a flight 'just in case'. But who can pass up on a 6.49 pound one way flight from Belfast to Amsterdam?
And I might just have to be there the day before.

Wow. Did the exact same thing recently. From Amsterdam via Liege to Bulgaria for a very very low price at www.bexxair.nl. Just have to get back when I get there. Somehow.
Is this to get to Dublin? Would this be the right moment to mention the flight I was supposed to be on from Belfast a year or so ago, that after checkin got delayed, then got delayed more, then got delayed even more, right upto 11 in the evening, then finally got cancelled at 1 am, without any notice? Leaving me in the airport with no UK pounds (hail ATM!), and a planeload of stranded passengers left to sleep for 5 hours (next available flight: 5 am) in the arrivals hall, as a result of which I had to suck up to my boss and explain why I couldn't possibly be in work at 9 am... :-P
Also, don't be tempted by the train from Belfast-Dublin. It's by far more expensive than the bus, and the bus terminal is much easier to get to. Bus takes 3 hours, train 2, but you probably save yourself 20 quid. Bus from airport to trainstation takes a while as well, and costs 6 something quid.
To make a long story short, the Belfast-Dublin travel can get slightly stressful ;)
"Is this to get to Dublin?"
It's to get from Belfast to Amsterdam. It's just an extra ticket besides the fly drive ams-dub-ams we're getting. Just in case. :-)
Thanks for the bus tip!
Just in case Aer Lingus goes bust? :-P
Just in case 'my thing and his thing coincide', to paraphrase.
Nah, you would've been mad to pass that up, good idea!
