The things we do for...

"I can't imagine wanting to queue up at 3am for anyone." (a friend)

I believe we were hypnotised back in the 80's. Overnight queuing was the norm if you wanted to get tickets to any good show. We'd start around 8pm the day before, sleeping bags and all. By midnight there'd be close to 500 and the box office (a corner shop in Utrecht Noord) would have to open on police order. And you'd be grateful for the pretty tickets in your hand.

I've got pizza in my bag and a woolly hat for my head and am awaiting a call for the word 'go'.

Those were the days! I used to remember out in L.A. being afraid we’d all get mugged with our ticket cash in our pockets.

I also used to tell my work I had a doctor’s appointment and then I’d wait in line for tickets.. all the good tickets went on sale Monday mornings at 10 a.m. I was always nervous someone from work would see me in line at the box office though.

I hope all goes well, I assume you’re waiting for some GA tix? Good luck.
