I know nothing about cars and even less about car rentals. I was checking tariffs earlier today, because we are renting a car for our trip to Ireland this October, and I was surprised at the price difference between Avis and Hertz. Same car, same week… but Hertz came out 50 euro cheaper. I had expected prices to be the same between such seemingly similar competing companies. Who can shed light on this?
