Just a note to self.
I'm treating myself to a trip to Cologne this weekend. I aim to do very little. Perhaps swim in the hotel pool and sit and enjoy the atmosphere at Max Stark's. They serve a black pudding dish (Himmel un Ääd mit Flönz) I want to try. Last week I hurt my knee during a bowling evening with the company, so I won't be walking around too much. I'm staying in the 'Altstadt', but if someone could give me some pointers towards either more modern or more decrepit areas, i.e. photographically interesting?

Best group ever
The other day I tweeted:"If I ever catch the postman in the act of folding my comics, he's going to lose a testicle. That's the 2nd time in a row he's done it."
To which DYFL answered: @cvodb You're starting to sound like a proper comics nerd...
Yes, I've been buying comics, eventhough I only get a tiny bit of satisfaction from reading the continued stories of Buffy and Angel. I still find reading comics incredibly hard and they have to be easy and linear for me to be able to follow them. The Buffy ones I can just about manage, the Firefly/Serenity ones are easy, but for the Angel comics I need to read the synopsis on wikipedia or else I'd be lost.
But... last evening, when I opened up a package containing three TPB's of Marvel's Runaways (very easy to read!), I caught myself thinking: 'I wish someone made this into a tv series.'

"Zattoo is live TV on your PC - it's the football game as you chat, the news as you email, and your favorite soap as you pay your bills. Zattoo is also TV when you don't have a TV - it's the channels you want, when you want, where you want. "

Welcome back to Dean Allen. Old school bloggers strike back.
You don't always get all members of a band together in one shot. This is Perneau, from Utrecht. The bass player's an ex-colleague of mine and I went to the show specifically to take pictures. I've got a nice set on Flickr that's currently private as I'd like the band to see them first.

The service is a joint venture with the three biggest record labels, Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) and Sony BMG Entertainment, owned by Sony Corp. (SNE) and Bertelsmann AG. EMI apparently to follow.

God, I am *struggling* with all the new MT4 stuff. I used to be able to whip up a site in a few days. Now I have to go to bloody college to change the default settings.
