I didn't get a Zappa vibe from them, more of a MBV-meets-The-Beloved. But then, bands are often very different live. Heard of Efterklang but never actually heard them. I can't remember whether I've heard Tortoise or not. The whole post-rock genre kind of passed me by until very recently, when I finally started to see the point. Again, it's a live thing.
