The last musician on my list of artists I absolutely have to see live once in my life is George Michael, now that I’ve seen the other three on that list: Morrissey, Peter Gabriel and Tom Waits.

As with a lot of the artists I like his output is low and he hardly ever tours. But he’s finally getting back on the road.

Tickets went on sale today. I didn’t know about it, so by the time I got to Ticketmaster, all the shows’ (£100, £60 and £40) tickets were sold out. I tried again a few hours later and they’d put some more shows on, one of which was still giving results for single tickets. So I got one.

I’ll be checking out George at Earl’s Court in London on November 28th. Dutch shows haven’t been announced yet, but I’d rather travel to London than see him here (in Rotterdam most likely) anyway.

Baton-time again. Yes, yet another meme. Thanks, Mr Hamster. This time it’s musical questions:

1. What’s the total size of music files on your computer:

38.4 Gigabyte

2. What is the last CD you bought?

Finally got Coil’s Horse Rotorvator on CD. (Stevo, pay them what you owe them!)

3. What is the last song you listened to before you read this post?

Morrissey – Spring-heeled Jim

4. Name four songs that you listen to a lot or that mean a lot to you.

Only four?

Massive Attack – Unfinished Sympathy
Roberta Flack – Killing me softly
Declan O’Rourke – No place to hide
Frank Sinatra – Night and day

5. Which three people are you passing the baton on to and why?

I am going to pass on the baton to the first three people that ASK for it in the comments, because I’m embarrassed to approach anyone with this.

… and that would be:

1. Chris
2. Herb
3. …

three comments:

Me! Me! Me me me!
Chris (link) – 19 January 2005 – 02:53

Me too please!
Herb (link) – 19 January 2005 – 04:18

HAHAHAA I did this last night but forgot to email you about it. And look, you beat my prediction! ;-)
