No worries, Jason, I was being a dramaqueen. With a wink, naturally. :-) [ see entry 22/12 ]

Yaay, found a Dutch log that looks good!

‘Capturing the moment.’ That’s what art is about, I think. TV-maker Wim Kayzer is back with another ambitious project, a wonderful concept. His series for Dutch broadcasting company VPRO ‘Van de Schoonheid en de Troost’ (‘Of Beauty and Consolation’) deals with the moments that make life worth while. It’s a twenty-eight part series, featuring interviews with 26 artists, scientists, writers, philosophers and musicians. In part 27, on May 28, all the people involved meet. A book accompanies the series, and one of the musicians dedicates a concert to it on February 6 in the MCV in Utrecht and Germaine Greer decided to make her own film about the theme. The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam will run an exhibition in connection with the series, from May 13 till July 7. I’ve just watched the first part in which all the people are introduced. It’s ambitious. It’s what I call great TV. I hope to see as many parts as possible.
